Location: Namagabi-Kayunga
Scope: Erection of LV poles, Overhead line stringing (ABC cable), 50kVA Transformer installation, Earthing and lightning protection, Final testing and UEDCL inspection.
Challenge: Rocky terrain and banana plantations, requiring careful wayleave management.
Result: Completed in 7 days and passed UEDCL inspection on first submission. Over 15 residential houses and 2 businesses are now connected to stable power.

How Much Does Power Extension Cost in Uganda in 2026?
This is the most common question we get: "Engineer, how much will it cost to bring power to my plot?"
In 2026, the cost depends on 4 factors: Distance from the nearest existing pole, Single Phase vs Three Phase, Materials: ABC cable, poles, transformer, and UEDCL Inspection & Application Fees.
• Single pole extension (1-2 poles): UGX 2.5M - 4M
• Multi-pole (3-6 poles): UGX 5M - 12M
Note: Never pay full money before survey. A genuine UEDCL approved contractor like Elektra will first do a FREE site visit and give you a BoQ. Beware of cheap quotes using substandard cables — they cause fires.
